I Day Contracts
In this type of unit, we offer a catering contract at Golden Vale Mart, Kilmallock, one day a week. The running of this unit involves a number of staff to provide a food service continuously, from 8am to close of business on that day. A chef is always on site preparing and serving the food for the duration of this day. This is open to the public and members of staff that work for the Mart. There is a large choice of food available in order to cater for all tastes and the large volume of people that visit the Mart. Even though this contract is only operating on a 1 day cycle, it has proven to be as busy as some contracts operating on a 5 day cycle.
7 Day Contracts
Musgrave Retail Partners are one of our main clients at present and this 7 day weekly contract has proved very rewarding following the use of our new working model. Food Court believes in a consistent presence of management in order to keep employees motivated and to ensure staff are working to their full potential. At present we are running four units for Musgraves, Kilcock, Fonthill and two units in the main Headquarters in Cork on the Tramore Road. All units have two day shifts and so requires much monitoring and management along with the Head Chef need to be dedicated to the job at hand. Both Management of Food Court, employees in each unit and the client need to work together to ensure that the operation runs smoothly.
Corporate Contracts
Much of our time on corporate events is spent within Limerick City and County Council, our most recent being to cater for the visit of President Michael D.Higgins to the offices in May of this year.
School Services
We cater for the student body at St.Nessans Community College and provide all catering for Youthreach in O'Connell Avenue and Northside Centres. In all these units, we promote healthy eating for students and provide a hot meal which is new to some centres and we feel has been received very well. As a company we are always attempting to highlight the positivity of healthy eating, as we have seen such a difference in St.Nessans Community College over the years and now have a hot bain-marie from which we serve hot dinners.
At Food Court Event Catering, we have just catered for the Freedom of the City awarded to Paul O’Connell in May of this year. This event was a huge success and in line with the work we do for Limerick City and County Council, we are very privileged to have the opportunity to carry out such a function.
Formal Events
Food Court has developed a reputation for providing a second-to-none service with regard to formal events. From the organisation of food, staffing, bar facilities and service of all of the above, our company can offer a package to suit any Civic Reception. We have catered for the Munster Home-Coming event held in City Hall for 700 guests and the Freedom of the city for Terry Wogan also held in City Hall for approximately 400 guests. The Lady's World Cup in Adare, held over a 3 day period and was catered for by the Food Court, servicing approximately 6,000 people.
We also catered for the Senior Irish Open held in Adare, with also 6,000 people attending. Food Court caters for numerous Weddings in a variety of venues, i.e. Marquee, generally hosting 80-250 guests. We have successfully coordinated food for these events from our initial meeting with the client, where we are able to structure the function to suit their requirements, to the organisation of staff, equipment and their choice and variety of cuisine.
The Food Court has employed Chefs from a number of different cultures with a background in producing various types of cuisine. This is evident in the food we supply, on events such as these. Mirroring the quality of our food, our staff at Food Court, are always well presented and provide a friendly and helpful service, which we deem very important for the overall event.
